Steele Lake Specialty is a multi-specialty surgical practice in Idaho Falls, Idaho, providing expert care in General Surgery, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, and Foot & Ankle Surgery, along with advanced wound and burn care. While we became Steele Lake Specialty in March 2024, our surgeons and specialists bring many years of experience serving the community.
Our team offers a wide range of services—from hernia repairs and gallbladder surgery to cosmetic enhancements, reconstructive procedures, and complex foot and ankle care. Our surgeons provide care in both outpatient clinic settings and at affiliated hospitals, including Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, depending on the procedure and patient needs.

I was in a lot of pain. I met with my doctor who advised I see a surgeon. My doctor called Dr. Olaveson and Dr, Olaveson made arrangements to see me immediately. Once I arrived he diagnosed my problem, talked to his staff to see if they would hang around a little longer so I could get surgery that that evening. I was in and out of surgery within a couple of hours. I am grateful for him and his staff taking the time to see me and stay late so I could get my extremely painful issue resolved.
